The Sundial in Holland Park
In the shock of all shocks when we went to meet our friends to walk our dogs together round Holland Park we turned up first and as we waited I took the chance to show my daughter, who is studying A Level art, how to quickly sketch and watercolour out and about. Iād sketched the shapes in with light pencil and had even managed the wash of the heavy skies when our friends arrived and we were dragged by some excited little dogs up through the wooded areas of the park. I finished this off at home and it became a bit more than a quick sketch but not before a lovely walk round the park and a lovely lunch at a nearby pub. I will always be very fond of Holland Park after spending many an hour excercising tiny kids there when we lived on Ladbroke Grove.
